STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN
October 7, 2004

Administration


1.	Attention all students who were elected from their second period
classes to sit on the Student Council, there will be a mandatory 
meeting,
Thursday at lunch in G210.  If any representatives cannot attend please
send a replacement to the meeting.

Clubs
1.	Hapa club is today (Thursday).  Come to G305 at lunch.

2.	Hey Chess players and those who want to be chess players!  You’re 
invited to
join us today-- and every Thursday-- from 3:15 – 4:30 p.m. in C125.  
All are
welcome.  Chess is like mental karate and will help you improve your
brain power and sooth your soul at the same time.

3.	Close up: would you like to study government up close? Like visit the
Nations Capital, Washington DC.  Tour the capitol, see the Supreme 
Court,
and experience the political process firsthand?  Our first meeting is
coming soon.  Keep listening to the bulletin for the date!

4.	Do you want to join the National Youth Association and work with a
large group of teens to promote youth rights?  Then go to the National 
Youth
Rights Association meeting this Thursday at lunch in room C316.  See ya
there!

5.	Come to our second meeting for Chicano/ Latino graduation.  This
Thursday at lunch in C124.  Be there!

6.	Holiday Meal and Canned Food Drive meeting Friday, October 8, 2004 in
C400.  Entire Student Government must attend!

7.	There will be a Club Commissioners meeting on Thursday, October 7th.
Club representatives must attend.  Come to C400 before Wednesday, 
October
6th or see Mrs. McKnight-Johnson.

8.	Hey guys, got questions, concerns, or opinions about men’s health?  
Or
just want to discuss and listen to what others have to say?  Come to the
Men’s Health discussion.  Get free food and discuss issues, dating, sex,
gangs, anger management and more.  Every Thursday in the conference room
near the library.

9.	Forensics club will meet on Thursday in G215.  Lunch will be catered
for you.  Bring your own drinks.

10.	Attention Women of BHS!  "Speak on it!" will meet every Thursday at
lunch beginning October 7, 2004.  Please bring a friend and get ready to
engage in topics chosen by you and  for you.  All female students at 
BHS are
welcome.  Questions call- Shannon Banks at 644-6928.  See you on October
7th at lunch.

2.  Seniors:  Interested in earning $80.00?  What about the upcoming
Presidential Election?  If so, please come to C406 and sign up to be a
poll worker in your voting precinct.  See Mrs. McKnight-Johnson right

1.	Berkeley High Homecoming is coming: October 22, 2004!

Sales
1.	Come buy your BHS Yearbook!  Every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in 
H102 or
everyday between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. in H102.  This is the final week 
for $50
books.  Next week they will be $60, so buy your yearbook now!

2.	Hey BHS students.  The Building with Books Club is having a bake sale
on Friday at lunch.  Come to the Community Theater steps to buy
delicious baked foods and support the club.
