[BHS etree] SPORTS: BHS Freshman Downhill Bicycle Racing State Champion

Berkeley High freshman  Amado Stachenfeld competes nationally in downhill
bicycling.  Earlier this  month, he won the race that determined the
California State Champion for his age group.  This past weekend, at the
National Championships sponsored by NORBA (THE NATIONAL OFF ROAD BICYCLE
ASSOCIAATION, held at Mammoth Lakes, Amado placed 11th in competition in his
age group (15-16).
 
Amando does down hill racing.  The Berkeley High mountain biking team is a
cross country bike team.
