Dear Valued LMi.net Member,

A few years ago, due to price increases by our upstream vendors we had
to raise our monthly rate for all of our new PHLO+ customers. New users
could sign up at our original rate but saw a $10 increase on their bill
per service line after the first 12 months of service. At the time we
decided to leave all of our existing members at their original rate and
we took on the increased service charges from our vendors.

Unfortunately, we have been notified of a further increase in service
charges by our upstream vendors. This change is a result of the
increased cost of maintaining the copper infrastructure throughout our
neighborhood and city. Sadly, unlike the last increase, we will not be
able to absorb this further increase in our line service rates and will
be raising the rates for our existing members.

This is not news that we share lightly. Our upstream costs have become
unsustainable for us as a company and despite our sincerest wishes to
maintain our pricing model, we will have to raise the rates for our members.

Your service is a bonded DSL connection which utilizes two separate
lines in the street to deliver the service. Because of this you will be
seeing a $20/month increase ($10/month/line). This change will take
effect starting April 1st 2020. If this rate increase is an overwhelming
burden to you, please contact our billing department and we will work
with you to mitigate the impact.

With this news, something to consider is that our Phiber Optic Internet
service is available now at your location (up to 100 times faster). We
generally have about a week's turnaround time for the installation of
this service and we are currently offering two promotions. The service
itself is free for the first two months (not including taxes or
equipment rental), as well as a $10 savings per month for the first year
of service. Please visit https://www.lmi.net/services/internet/phiber/
for more information and to sign up.
