Can’t make it? You can still sponsor a teacher

teachers, even if you cannot attend yourself.
Our Speakers:
Sasha Khohka <https://www.kqed.org/author/sasha-khokha> is the host of
KQED's The California Report's weekly magazine program. Her reporting
helped expose the hidden price immigrant women janitors and farmworkers may
pay to keep their jobs: sexual assault at work. It inspired two new
California laws to protect them from sexual harassment.
Alexis Madrigal <https://alexismadrigal.com/> is a journalist in Oakland,
California. Co-host of KQED's Forum, which tells remarkable true stories
about who we are and where we live. Author of the Pacific Circuit.
Proprietor of Local Economy.
Berkeley High Jacket reporters <https://berkeleyhighjacket.com/>. The Berkeley
High Jacket is the award-winning student newspaper of Berkeley High School
(BHS). The paper is published every other Friday, and includes five
sections that cover local events at the high school and current issues in
the world. The staff of the Jacket is made up of more than one hundred
student editors, writers, photographers, illustrators, and columnists.
This event is a community fundraiser to benefit Berkeley High School,
Berkeley Independent Studies (9-12) and Berkeley Technology Academy.
Purchase your tickets on the Berkeley High School Development Group website
