Dear Berkeley High Community,

Happy Friday!

On March 10, 2026, there were over 900 visitors to the Alameda County
College and Career Fair hosted at BHS in partnership with WACAC (Western
Association for College Admission Counseling). A heartfelt thank you to
everyone who encouraged students and families to attend.

We in the CCC need to acknowledge that the absolute feat of hosting 150
career and college partners is not possible without our community. We want
to thank our custodial staff led by Mr. Robert Fleming, OFEE coordinator
Ms. Leticia Amezcua, DCAC/EAOP volunteers led by Mr. Freddy Corrales and
Ms. Althea Jardeleza, and Ms. Nicole Fitzhugh, for coming in clutch during
volunteer coordination. And our student volunteers from CSF.

We are also grateful to the PTSA (Alex, Bette, Chris, Denise, Sara) and the
Berkeley Public Schools Fund Volunteer Essay Readers (Greg, Greta, Jamie,
Janet, Lori,  Susan) for dedicating their time and energy to ensuring a
smooth experience for our reps and attendees.

Finally, we would like to sincerely thank Ms. AnnieJae Fischburg for her
leadership and for believing in the possibility of hosting such a large-scale
event, to our administration for helping us ensure a safe and well-attended
event, and the BHS Counseling department. Thank you for empowering our team
to make this event a possibility. We look forward to building on this
momentum in the years ahead.
