Berkeley High athletics serves over 1,400 student-athletes across 50+ teams
- and it takes our entire community to keep these programs, and our Jacket
Pride, strong. One of our most important annual fundraisers is coming up,
and there are many ways to participate - whether you golf, sponsor, donate,
bid in the auction, or simply join us for dinner.... see below for details.

The Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF) is proud to host its 18th Annual Golf &
Cornhole Classic at the gorgeous Tilden Park Golf Course. This event,
bringing together friends, colleagues, BHS families, student-athletes, and
our amazing coaches, is more than just a day of competition; it is a
powerful opportunity to support and uplift our community’s young athletes.

Berkeley High has 50+ teams and over 1,400 student-athletes - yet critical
gaps remain.

• Coaches’ stipends have remained flat for years despite dramatic increases
in cost of living. We are working to close that gap and better support the
adults who mentor and lead our athletes.

• Teams regularly face funding shortfalls for essential equipment and
uniforms - from starter blocks and hurdles to safety gear and updated
uniforms.

• When athletes earn spots at regional or national competitions, travel
costs can become barriers to participation.

• Many graduating seniors rely on BAF scholarships to take their next step
after high school.

Your support strengthens Berkeley High athletics - investing in our coaches
(adults who mentor and guide our kids every day) and equipping
student-athletes with the tools to compete, learn, and lead (on & off the
field).


*The Event Day Experience→*

Golfers will spend a day on the beautiful Tilden Park Golf Course, enjoying
a round of golf amidst the stunning Berkeley Hills scenery. The day will be
filled with camaraderie, competition, and the chance to enjoy the serene
atmosphere of one of the Bay Area's most picturesque courses.

After a spectacular day on the course in the Berkeley Hills, we’ll gather
for dinner and recognition - including the opportunity to meet and hear
from student-athletes and coaches whose programs benefit directly from this
event.

These interactions offer a unique and inspiring glimpse into the lives and
aspirations of the young athletes whose futures will be shaped by the
generosity of those who participate. It’s an evening that not only
celebrates golf, but also the impact of community support in empowering the
next generation.
