Dear BHS Junior Community,
We are pleased to announce that, for the first time in Academic Choice's 20
years, a field trip will be held for all the students of our Junior Class!
For this momentous occasion, we will be taking our Juniors to the Oakland
Museum of California. And after this enriching experience, we will have a
community picnic with some games and activities.
When: Wednesday, March 19th AND Wednesday, March 26th.
Where: Oakland Museum of California and the amphitheater.
How you can help:
1. We need chaperones! We need AT LEAST 15 more chaperones for each day.
1. You can sign up with THIS

SignUp
genius for either or both days. We need help from 9AM-2:30PM.
2. Donate to cover your student's field trip cost: We must raise $5,000
total to ensure all AC 11th grade students have access to this trip!
What is this cost going to? To pay for BART, the museum, a picnic, and for
the substitutes covering our teacher's class so they can be a part of the
community building experience as well. If each and every family of our 416
AC Juniors paid for the cost of their student to have this experience, it
would cost only $12.02, a dozen dollars per student. We encourage a
donation of $20 or more!
How to pay for the field trip:
1. Go to the Berkeley High School Development Group Website
<https://www.bhsdg.com/program-support>
2. Fill in the fields under "Program Fee Payment"
3. Under "Payment Designation," choose "Academic Choice Field Trip"
4. If you are willing and able, we ask that you cover the cost of one or
more additional AC Students. No AC student will be turned away, but in
order to make this event a success we need support from every willing and
able AC family.
This trip is being organized through the 11th grade history teachers of AC,
and therefore the day in which your student will attend the field trip, as
well as most of the information coming to the students will be through that
teacher. However, if you have any questions about the trip or desire to be
more involved in the AC events we're planning, you can contact either of
our Teacher Leaders, L. Joseph Smith and Matt Carton or our Vice Principal,
Keldon Clegg.
Respectfully,
The AC Leadership Team

puedes contactar a nuestros líderes docentes, L. Joseph Smith y Matt Carton,
o a nuestro subdirector, Keldon Clegg.
Atentamente,
El equipo de liderazgo de AC
