[Individualmembers] Academic Lives and "Dinner-To-Go" Reminder

Dear Members -

We hope you will join us for "Academic Lives" this Thursday, February 9th,
4:00 p.m.   This promises to be a fascinating conversation.  The title is
"Valentines in Academia" and we've gathered a panel of "experts" - an
intergenerational sampling of academics who will discuss the joys,
pleasures and challenges of dual career couples within academia.

Professor Eleanor Swift, our Board President, will moderate.  Participants
include Phil and Carolyn Cowan, Berkeley emeriti in Psychology, Jenna
Johnson-Hanks (Demography and Sociology), Leigh Raiford (African American
Studies), Michael Cohen (American and African American Studies), and two
Berkeley post-doctoral students Desire Whitmore (Chemistry) and Jessica
Bisset Perea (Music).  Bisset Perea will be accompanied by her husband who
teaches at San Francisco State University.

This is a complimentary event and open to the campus community.  Join us
and invite your colleagues!


The "Dinner-To-Go" entree this week is Penne Pasta baked with Italian
sausage, roasted tomato sauce, ricotta and mozzarella cheese; served with
tossed green salad and garlic bread, $11.75. The vegetarian entree is
