Dear Members -

You will not want to miss our next "Arts in the Afternoon" scheduled for
this Thursday, October 20, 4:00 p.m. David Milnes conducts sections of
the University Symphony Orchestra in Ernst Bacon's Selections from Piano
Trio No. 2 for Violin, Cello and Piano and Kaija Saariaho's Neiges. Ernst
Bacon is well known in the Bay Area for his work in the 30s. He was a
composer and the founder of the Carmel Bach Festival. Saariaho is a
Finnish modernist composer. Come early for good seats and hear a unique
concert.

Don't forget to place your orders for this week's "Dinner-To-Go" entree,
which is Cider Glazed Roast Cornish Game Hen stuffed with wild rice,
pecans and apples; served with roasted vegetables, $12.45. The vegetarian
option is Roasted Vegetables and White Beans baked in puff pastry; served
with a tossed green salad with pecans, goat cheese and vinaigrette
dressing, $9.75. Please call for soup and dessert options. Feel free to
call in, fax, or email your orders in by 3 p.m. on Monday, October 17th.

All the best-
