He’s served as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as a Sport & Performance Psychology expert to athletes across all stages of the competitive spectrum. His blended approach to athlete development uniquely meshes well with the demands of the high school student-athlete and helps to set apart Curtis and those he works with from the competition. While evidence-based practices of performance enhancement are pivotal in his approach, his belief is that the real growth stems from empowering his athletes by fostering a healthy support system with the student-athlete, and their coaches in order to maintain consistent opportunities for the student-athlete’s development. Originally from Denver, although he and his wife have called Oakland home for almost 12 years.
