Berkeley Schools Volunteers (BSV), and help give students the
personalized attention they need and deserve during distance learning.</font></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt; line-height: 11.75pt;"><font face="Arial" class="">BSV
is currently recruiting parents, college students, retirees, and
working professionals to support “classrooms,” district-wide. Every
volunteer is trained to access and navigate BUSD’s online instructional
platforms. Volunteers are then paired with a Host Teacher, based on the
volunteer’s grade level and subject preferences. Volunteers may support
students 1:1 or in small group breakout rooms, while also helping
teachers with the everyday operations of the ‘new (Zoom) normal.’</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt; line-height: 11.75pt;"><font face="Arial" class="">BSV requires a commitment of 1-2 hours a week for the remainder of the school year.
