on NPR and PBS, on broadcast television, and in The Guardian and The Paris Review. His shorter pieces have appeared in The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine. And, as previously mentioned, one of our personal favorites is the essay he wrote for the
February 2017 issue of Vanity Fair, which described showing up for his usual afternoon volunteer shift at Berkeley High’s front desk - on the day when pretty much the entire BHS student body had walked out in protest of the presidential election results; the
phone was ringing off the hook with unhappy folks from all over calling to express their displeasure. Because yes,
