the proposed 2018-19 BHS staff cuts in the Superintendent's Budget Advisory
Committee (SBAC) proposal to the School Board. Since that time there, the
School Board has made some decisions and the SBAC proposal has changed. <span></span></span></p>

January 10th School Board meeting, the School Board approved the recommendation
to redesign and consolidate the staffing models for Independent Study (IS) and
Berkeley Technology Academy (BTA). The approved plan's staffing model (1)
consolidates the BTA principal and IS Coordinator into a Principal of
Alternative Programs position (2) the BTA counselor assumes the IS student
caseload and (3) reduces BTA Security officers from 2 to 1 position. These
changes will go into effect for the 2018-19 school year<span></span></span></p>
