<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Starting January 3, 2017, when we are back from winter break, families will get two attendance phone calls home for absences. One call will now come at 12:45 pm for periods 1-3. The second
call will come as it does now at 5:45 pm for periods 1-6. Families will now be able to get a call if their students are missing class in the morning.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">Berkeley High School African American Studies Department presents "The Story of Kumba: The Orphaned Child", a West African legend. In this dance/drama, one will be able to see the Haitian dance
of the dead, Ms. Betti’s Aztec dancers, Sabar dance from Senegal, Macru and Kassa from Guinea, Ms. Carr’s modern dance, hip hop, a narration that takes you on the journey of being in the story, and more.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
