recently been named the new Court Executive Officer (CEO) of the Alameda County
Superior Court. Due to future potential conflicts of interest arising
from her role as CEO and Clerk of the Court, Ms. Wilson is resigning from her
position on the School Board. </span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
<p><font size=4 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>"Although
I am thrilled by the incredible opportunity presented by my new leadership
position with the Alameda County Superior Court, I am deeply saddened that I
must resign from the School Board," said Ms. Wilson. "I have taken my
role as an elected official, and my responsibility to the community that I
represent, including District students and staff, and the broader <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Berkeley</st1:place></st1:City> citizenry, very
seriously. I apologize for not being able to fulfill my commitment, and will
continue to work to support and improve <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Berkeley</st1:place></st1:City>
schools in whatever capacity I am able.” </span></font><o:p></o:p></p>

Wilson will resign her post on the School Board effective March 31, 2013.</span></font><o:p></o:p></p>
