safe and welcoming community for all its students, it is not immune to the
bullying behaviors observed and discussed nationally. Some Berkeley High
students are subjected to repeated harassment and threats. Bullying occurs
online through hurtful messages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and texting.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Subcommittee and the On Campus Intervention office encourage students to step
up and speak up when they see bullying. Students hesitate to keep bullying
when their peers tell them it's not cool. You can help by talking with your
student about becoming an ally, not just a bystander. Sticking up for a
student in need is empowering. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
