<br><b>CAREER LOCKER</b>: Do you want to explore career opportunities and possible majors for college? Career Locker is a web-based program purchased for Berkeley High School students for career and college exploration. Students can use Career Locker from any location that can access the internet. This program includes assessment tests, occupation and education search tools, and practice questions for test preparation. <br>College Essay Readers Available: We are fortunate to have this outstanding support service available for our seniors this fall. The October-November schedule for essay readers can be obtained at the front desk in the College and Career Center. While most CSU's will accept the December test scores, a few of them will not. If you have not yet done so, please check with your college advisor to discuss your list of colleges and find out the potential deadlines for testing. UC's will continue to accept the December test scores. While UC's no longer require SAT Subject Test scores from applicants, some programs "recommend" that you take them (e.g.<br>
engineering). Some other colleges continue to require Subject Tests (check the admission requirements of the colleges you are applying to).<br><br>New SAT and ACT registration procedures - photos required during registration! To produce an honest and fair test-taking environment for all students and prevent test-taker impersonation, starting this fall the College Board (for SAT tests) and the ACT testing agency (for the ACT) will require enhanced security measures for all students taking the college entrance tests. Students will be required to submit a current, recognizable head-and-shoulders photo that will be printed on the new photo admission ticket.
