<a href="mailto:kristinglenchur@berkeley.net" target="_blank">kristinglenchur@berkeley.net</a></span></font></p></div><div> </div><div>Regarding schedule changes:</div><div> </div><div>For those who missed registration and those who have been called notifying them of a change of schedule, schedules will be available for pick up in the Jacket Gym on Monday and Tuesday August 27 and 28 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. For families who have PowerSchool* access (see below), schedules will be available for viewing after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 28. Duplicate hard copy schedules will also be available starting at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 29 in the food court located in the Admin Building. </div>
<div> </div><div>Regarding schedule change requests, counselors are prioritizing scheduling new students, students with incomplete schedules, students who have been placed in an incorrect level, and those who do not have a course that will meet graduation or a-g requirements. Please do not call the counseling office to check on your change of schedule request. Your child can check Powerschool* on Tuesday to see if we have been able to make the changes you requested</div>
<div> </div><div>We are also in the process of balancing classes, and, in some necessary circumstances, students' schedules may change. New schedules will be delivered to classrooms, so it is very important that students attend all classes on their schedule. Only students with a gap, "Proctor" or a "Go to D221" on their schedules will be allowed to see counselors, and they will only be allowed to go during the class period in which they have a blank.</div>
<div> </div><div>Counselors will be unavailable for drop-in appointments 8/29-9/7. Students who wish to see their counselor for issues beyond those they've listed on their schedule change form will not be able to until at least Monday, September 10th. They will be busy working on schedule changes/corrections and new student schedules. Students who wish to see their counselor must fill out a schedule change form (available at the table in front of the counseling office) and will be worked on in priority order. </div>
<div> </div><div>We appreciate your patience as we work to get all BHS students a complete schedule. </div><div> </div><div>*PowerSchool is a program which allows parents and students to access their grades and attendance online. Parents coming from King, Willard, and Longfellow can access PowerSchool using last year's passwords. Families new to the BUSD will receive passwords in the mail along with instructions for accessing the system. </div>
