Construction on a new gym will begin sometime in the fall and is projected to open Spring 2014. That new building will not only house two new gyms—one of which will be “soft” for sports such as wrestling—but 14 new classrooms. Once the new classrooms open the 12 portables will be removed and the softball field rebuilt. The softball field will complement the Derby Field baseball diamond currently under construction.
