important issues: budget cuts and the superintendent search.<br>

<b><u><span style='font-weight:bold'>BUDGET CUTS</span></u></b>.
Unfortunately, BUSD is facing another year in which we need to make budget
cuts. For information about the proposed budget cuts, please attend the
District’s second and final <b><i><span style='font-weight:bold;
font-style:italic'>Budget Forum on Thursday, April 19, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm</span></i></b>
in the City Council Chambers (2134 MLK, 2nd Floor). The forum will
include special guest Jonathan Kaplan, an expert in helping community members
understand school finance and a senior analyst at the California Budget
Project. The planned budget cut this year is approximately $3 million
based on current information. These budget forums are one of the ways the
District hopes to engage the community in the budget process. Translation

Por desgracia, BUSD se enfrenta a otro año en el que tenemos que hacer recortes
presupuestarios. Para obtener más información acerca de la propuesta de
las reducciónes al presupuesto, por favor asista al segundo y último<b><i><span

ofrecerá el Distrito el jueves, 19 de abril de 5:30 pm a 7:00 pm</span></i></b>
