Years ago, a group of parents realized that if they formed a 501c3 they would not need to send 25% of funds raised to the state PTA organization. We are all parent volunteers, and we raise funds to support BHS. We accept grant applications from teachers, administrators and students; and we generate programs of our own to fund. <br><br>So far this fall, we have funded:<br><br>Substance Abuse Prevention Program in the Health Center with Ralph Cantor<br>200$ Classroom teacher grant for every teacher<br>Afterschool tutoring in every subject for any and all students<br>Digital Projector for CPA teacher<br>Vera Casey Teen Parenting Program nutrition<br>BIHS Summer Bridge program<br>Graphing Calculators for the Math Department<br>World AIDS Day Poets/Performance Artists<br>BHS Jacket Newspaper partial publishing costs<br><br>Annual supplies grants to:<br><br>College and Career Center<br>Library<br>Counseling Center<br>Special Education<br>Parent Resource Center<br>Health Center<br>Registrar's Office<br><br>It's time for our Annual Campaign!
