<div><font size="-1">Last Spring the PTSA nominating committee was
unable to recruit officers for 2005/2005, throwing the existence of
PTSA at Berkeley High this year in doubt! We are happy to say that
three well qualified candidates with great ideas about how to improve
PTSA have stepped forward. Karen Hemphill and Carol Lashoff have
agreed to be nominated for Co-President and Linnette Robinson has
agreed to be nominated as Vice President for parent outreach. BUT
we still need a Treasurer and a Secretary, at the minimum, to keep
PTSA functioning. Neither of these jobs is terribly demanding. If you
are willing to consider serving in one of these two positions or
another on this year's PTSA board, please contact Janet Huseby</font> <a
href=""><font size="-1">jhuseby@pacbell.net</font></a><font size="-1">
. We have only another week to put a team together before the election
at the first PTSA meeting on Thursday, Sep. 8.</font></div>
