Tickets<o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> The fabulous <B>Brunch and
Benefit Auction at Caffe Venezia on Sunday, May 16<SUP>th</SUP></B>, will raise
money for students from Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) to go to Morelia,
Mexico this summer.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">This just in:<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>many new and fantastic items have been
donated for the Silent Auction – you can get deals on everything from massages
to dinners out!<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We have also gotten
in a delivery of folk art from the villages around Morelia, Mexico.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Everything will go to student
scholarships and chaperone coverage for the trip.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The brunch features an incredible
meal designed and cooked by Mollie Katzen (author of <I>Moosewood Cookbook
</I>and many more, including the new <I>Sunlight Café</I>).<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Mollie will be signing her new book (and
old ones!).<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>CAS Mex-Ex students
will serve as serving staff!</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The Berkeley High CAS students
will be traveling with teacher chaperones to Morelia for three weeks this
summer.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>While there, they will do
intensive Spanish study in the morning and work on projects with Mexican
teenagers in the afternoon.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We will
bring video and communication skills and equipment to leave with our friends
there.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students will learn video
production, radio, and other ways to describe and transform their reality.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"> <o:p></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Caffe Venezia is at 1799
University (at Grant) and the brunch starts at 10:30 AM.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>But you should purchase a ticket ahead
of time, as they are going fast.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">

ticket.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>You can also buy a copy of
<I>Sunlight Café </I>for $30.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If
you purchase a ticket and book, the total cost is $55.</P>
