Dear BHS community,

We are excited for the opportunity to host esteemed local author Maggie
Tokuda Hall on Friday, Nov. 8.

The Asian American & Pacific Islander Literature classes, some community
members from the BUSD AAPI Organizers group, as well as the AAPI student
group and several art classes, will be attending. If your student is
interested in attending, we do have space for additional students. They can
pick up permission slips in the BHS Library.

We are also looking for additional community donations to compensate the
author. We have raised funds through BHSDG and the BUSD community AAPI
group, but we still need to raise $250 by November 8. Please consider
contributing to support this incredible learning opportunity
