SAVE THE DATE: MONDAY, APRIL 15th - COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER - FEATURING DACHER
KELTNER

On Monday, April 15th, BHSDG will host an evening at Gather Restaurant
with Dacher
Keltner <https://greatergood.berkeley.edu/profile/dacher_keltner>, founder
of the Greater Good Science Center and Distinguished Professor of
Psychology at UC Berkeley. His talk entitled, *Transforming the Teen
Experience: Nurturing Awe for Resilience in Our Times*, will help us all
think about the last time something took your breath away or left you
speechless. Awe is something that is hard to put into words and understand
for yourself, let alone scientifically examine. However this is exactly
what Dr. Dacher Keltner has dedicated his career to, the study of emotions
and happiness. In his groundbreaking research, he believes that awe, the
feeling when you see something beyond your understanding, can have huge
impacts on both your brain and body. Tickets will be on sale starting March
10th through the Berkeley High School Development Group <http://bhsdg.org/>
 website.
