Dear BHS Community,

Welcome to Berkeley High School home of the Yellowjackets!  I am honored
and humbled to serve as the Interim Principal for the Fall semester of the
2023-2024 school year.  This will begin my seventh year as an administrator
at BHS and I enter this year committed to collaborating with staff, the
district office, and our community partners to ensure students have a safe,
inclusive, and nurturing school environment.

The administration team and I are eager to welcome back all of our staff,
students, and families. The first day of school for students is August
16th.  Our bell schedule will remain the same as it was last year.  Please

Our dedicated principal’s assistant, Ms. LaTour; front office staff, Ms.
Ty; registrar's office, Ms. Mellion; budget manager, Ms. Jefferson; Mr.
Lewis and his custodial staff; and facilities manager, Mr. Snow have been
working hard all summer to make sure that the BHS campus is ready for the
2023-24 academic year. Over the summer we achieved another step in our goal
of becoming a green campus by adding new solar panels. We are also thrilled
to announce the launch of our Wellness Center this Fall. We will have our
Grand Opening in October.  The Wellness Team has been working tirelessly to
get this project off the ground.

Families: Soon, you will receive more information and reminders about
start-of-the-year activities for students, such as Distribution
(Registration) Week and Class Schedules. I encourage parents/guardians that
have not done so already to subscribe to the BHS E-Tree in order to receive
important messages throughout the year including any COVID updates. You can
