*News from the Berkeley High School Development Group: Spring Community
Fun-draiser and Monthly Board Meeting*


*Spring Community Fun-draiser - Monday, March 27th:*

The Berkeley High School Development Group is hosting a Spring Community
FUN-Draiser on Monday, March 27th at Gather Market focused on *Long and
Short Term Decision-Making: Empowering Teenagers to Make Confident Choices
for the Future. *BHSDG hope you will join us for a conversation with two
Berkeley High School parents, Don A. Moore

Affairs & Professor of Leadership at Haas School of Business and Emilie
Mazzacurati <https://www.caelistrategy.com/>, Climate Tech Entrepreneur and
founder of Four Twenty Seven. BHS Dean of Climate and Wellness, Doreen
Bracamontes will be kicking off the evening.


Tickets <https://www.bhsdg.com/spring-community-fun-draiser> are now on
sale for a night of delicious food, drinks donated by local businesses,
entertainment by members of the Berkeley High Jazz Band, and a
thought-provoking conversation to support your teens! This event is a
community FUN-draiser to benefit Berkeley High School, Berkeley Independent
Studies (9-12) and Berkeley Technology Academy.


BHSDG invites you and your teens to take a few minutes to complete this

anonymous and invites you to think about future-oriented choices, delay of
gratification, and overconfidence. Responses from parents and children will
be compared at the March 27th event.



*BHSDG Monthly Board Meeting - Monday, March 6th:*

Please join us for the Berkeley High School Development Group's March board
meeting. BHSDG is an all-volunteer, nonprofit foundation made up of parents
and students whose mission is to strengthen the educational experience for
all students. BHSDG funds essential programs, materials, and training in
the areas of academic achievement, enrichment, intervention, equity,
community building, and social-emotional support.


This month's meeting is Monday, March 6th from 7 - 9 p.m. The agenda
includes a presentation from Matt Laurel about the After School Teacher
Tutorials, general board updates, and discussions on monthly grant
requests. The meeting will be held in the College and Career Center. You
should enter the school on Milvia through the M building gate and walk over
to the administration building. Go up the stairs to the College and Career
Center which is across from the library. Please email (
