Please note: BHS PTSA General Meeting (Tues Feb.21st @7pm) is CANCELED.


In celebration of Black History Month, the Berkeley High School Parent
Teacher Student Association hosted its Third Annual Black History Month Art
Contest which showcases Black history-themed student creative works in
poetry, visual arts, digital art, music, and performance art.  Prizes in
each category are $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third.
All current Berkeley High, Independent Study, and Berkeley Technology
Academy students were eligible to participate. Unfortunately, we had only
two submissions, all in Poetry.  The PTSA Executive team decided to award
$100 to each of these participants for their submissions. We are very proud
of them and hope they continue writing and expressing themselves through
poetry.  We will post their amazing poems on our website shortly and hope
more students will participate next year!
