Greetings, families!
Are you passionate about meeting the climate challenge? Would you like to lend a hand to bring educational activities about climate change to BHS for our students? OR...do you have experience or projects related to this issue?
Come to a brief(30 min) zoom meeting on Monday February 13 at 6:00pm to find out how to plug in.

Some context:
Last year, the school board unanimously voted for the Climate Literacy Resolution, which invites teachers k-12 to infuse their curriculum with lessons on climate science and advocacy.

Berkeley High will be hosting a spring climate change showcase on April 20th, in which many departments and grade levels will be engaged in a variety of projects, including:
a. a climate science fair
b. a U9 mini-conference on food systems and climate
c. a reuse mural
d. a ceramics sculpture garden
e. a math project on shadows and angles for solar panels...
f. multilingual students presenting on the impacts of climate change in their countries of origin
and much more!
We need parents to coordinate, participate, build things, and even fundraise for supplies. If this sounds fun, please join us!

Reply directly to arynfaur at berkeley.net <mailto:arynfaur at berkeley.net> to rsvp to the climate change planning meeting and I will send you a zoom link.
