AP Test
The deadline for ordering AP and IB tests at the regular price is Thursday,
November 10th at 11:59PM. The price increases by $40 per exam after 11/10.

Grief group
As a way to support our student community, the BHS counselors have
partnered with Sutter Health Bereavement Counselors who will be coming to
campus and offering a support group that is focused on coping with grief.
The first meeting date will take place on November 28th and the group will
be meeting on Mondays at 9am in D-218 for the entire school year.

accepted on the spot! Scholarships available. Cal State Sacramento Campus
on November 12th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The Hispanic Heritage Foundation <https://hispanicheritage.org/>’s (HHF)
2022 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications!
There will be $4000 in educational grants.
The deadline is coming up on Sunday, November 13th. For more info and to

Presidential Scholarship <https://dos.sfsu.edu/presidential-scholars> at
San Francisco State University: the scholarship covers tuition, room and
board, and books and supplies for four years for up to six entering
freshmen. The goal is for students to graduate debt-free.
Eligible students are those who graduate from high school with a 3.5 GPA,
are Pell Grant eligible, and demonstrated leadership and service while in
high school.
Pipeline Dreams

High School program aims to foster and sustain a pipeline of diverse
physicians, scientists, and healthcare professionals to decrease health
disparities by increasing diversity in medicine.
This free 12-week course program will expose students underrepresented in
medicine to medicine and health-allied careers. Info Session on November
16th, 3pm.
Memoir Writing Scholarship

great Memoir Writing Scholarship Opportunity - $10,000 for 2 or 4-year
bound students. In recognition of Michelle Obama’s long-standing commitment
to mentorship and education, as well as her inspiring leadership in
encouraging young people to discover the power of telling their own
stories, this award grants a college scholarship of $10,000 to one young,
promising writer.
For students applying to Boston University with outstanding academic
records and strong leadership skills consider the Trustee Scholarship

of education researchers working together to provide valuable insight into
degrees and the degrees offered at higher education institutions.
Six Colleges <https://www.sixcolleges.org/>: Amherst, Bowdoin, Carleton,
Pomona, Swarthmore, and Williams are hosting a series of virtual events for
students and families.
Pre-Vets Supporting Diversity Club <http://prevetsofdiversity.weebly.com/>
at UC Davis: Virtual high school Pre-Veterinary mentorship program that
will run from January to early June 2023. The mentor will guide students as
they prepare for their college education, as well as offer them insight
into the application process for veterinary schools and the different
career paths within the veterinary field. The application will be open till
December 12, 2022. When applying, please complete the parent consent form
and email it to prevetsfordiversity at gmail.com or submit it along with your
application. In order to be considered for the program, students must be
subscribed to the listserv and must have submitted the parent consent form.
