Dear Berkeley High School Students, Staff, and Families:


We are writing with an update on our plans for UNITY Week and the
Homecoming Dance, originally scheduled for next week and Saturday October
15 respectively. Out of love and respect for the Berkeley High Students we
have lost, and for their families and friends, we will be rescheduling the
UNITY Week and Homecoming Dance events. Currently our staff are focusing
their efforts on supporting our students, staff members, and families who
are grieving.


As a school community, we believe in the value of such traditions and
understand that we must seek affirming and supportive ways to gather and
connect. We are revisiting our plans for these events and will confirm the
new dates in the next couple of weeks.

Actualmente, nuestro personal está enfocando sus esfuerzos en apoyar a
nuestros estudiantes, miembros del personal y familias que están de duelo.


Como comunidad escolar, creemos en el valor de tales tradiciones y
entendemos que debemos buscar formas afirmativas y de apoyo para reunirnos
y conectarnos. Estamos revisando nuestros planes para estos eventos y
confirmaremos las nuevas fechas en las próximas dos semanas.
