On the evening of Tuesday, September 20th, Q1 Progress Reports were posted on Infinite Campus. This progress report indicates the student’s current performance for the semester. A progress report is not the final grade; rather, it indicates the grade a student may earn for Semester 1.

While all BHS students will get a Quarter 1 progress report grade posted online, only students receiving a D or F in one or more classes on the Quarter 1 progress report will have a physical progress report mailed home this weekend. 

How do report cards work at Berkeley High?

Berkeley High posts grades at eight different times during the year. Attached is our grading schedule <https://bhs.berkeleyschools.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/BHS-Grade-Schedule-22-23.pdf> to show when each of these grades is posted by teachers at BHS.

Progress Report: Progress report grades are issued at the midpoint of quarter 1, semester 1, quarter 3, and semester 2. They are mailed home for students with a D or F in one or more classes.  These grades do not appear on student transcripts.

Quarter Grade: These grades are not the final official grades for each term. These grades do not go on transcripts but can impact athletic eligibility and other activities requiring a particular quarter-term GPA. A quarter grade is only issued for quarter 1 and quarter 3.

Semester Grade: These are the official final grades for each full academic term. These grades go on student transcripts and are the official final grades for the course. There are no + or - on final grades:  B+ is the same as a B-. During the year a student’s “In Progress” Semester grade is their current grade in a course until the semester grade is posted.

How can I check my student’s grade in Infinite Campus?

How to review grades: Parents can review student grades by signing into Infinite Campus  <https://berkeleyca.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/students/berkeley.jsp>Parent and selecting “Grades” from the left side menu. Be sure you select “S1” or “All Terms” at the top of the “Grades” menu. Changes in appearance: BHS now lists all attendance and grades by two terms, Semester 1 and Semester 2. When viewing attendance and student grades, the default is Semester. Please refer to the “Semester Grade” when reviewing what a student’s current grade is in a course.

¿Cómo funcionan las boletas de calificaciones en Berkeley High?

Berkeley High publica las calificaciones en ocho momentos diferentes durante el año. Informe de progreso: las calificaciones del informe de progreso se emiten en el punto medio del primer semestre, semestre 1, entre el semestre 1 y 2 y semestre 2. Se envían por correo a los estudiantes con una D o F en una o más clases. Estas calificaciones no aparecen en las transcripciones de los estudiantes.

Calificación trimestral: estas calificaciones no son las calificaciones oficiales finales de cada término. Estas calificaciones no se incluyen en las transcripciones, pero pueden afectar la elegibilidad atlética y otras actividades que requieren un GPA de un trimestre en particular. Solo se emite una calificación trimestral para el semestre 1 y el semestre 2.

Calificación Semestral: Estas son las calificaciones finales oficiales para cada período académico completo. Estas calificaciones van en las transcripciones de los estudiantes y son las calificaciones finales oficiales del curso. No hay + o - en las calificaciones finales: B+ es lo mismo que B-. Durante el año, la calificación semestral “En progreso” de un estudiante es su calificación actual en un curso hasta que se publique la calificación semestral.

Cómo revisar las calificaciones: los padres pueden revisar las calificaciones de los estudiantes iniciando sesión en Infinite Campus <https://berkeleyca.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/students/berkeley.jsp> Parent y seleccionando "Calificaciones" en el menú del lado izquierdo. Asegúrese de seleccionar "S1" o "Todos los términos" en la parte superior del menú "Calificaciones". Cambios en la apariencia: BHS ahora enumera toda la asistencia y calificaciones por dos períodos, Semestre 1 y Semestre 2. Al ver la asistencia y las calificaciones de los estudiantes, el valor predeterminado es Semestre. Consulte la "Calificación del semestre" cuando revise la calificación actual de un estudiante en un curso.
