Please do not reply to this message. If you have any questions, please
contact BHS Principal Juan Raygoza at juanraygoza at berkeley.net.

Dear BHS parents/caregivers and students,

Due to the regional uptick in COVID-19 cases, we are strongly recommending
that all BHS parents/caregivers consider it is likely that their student
may be a close contact to a case this week. As such, all BHS students and
staff are encouraged to test for COVID-19 at least once this week. If able
to do so, testing twice is encouraged.

*At dismissal today, BHS staff will be at the **Kittredge and Milvia glass
doors** to hand out at-home tests to students. Please consider testing
immediately as we are working to keep cases out of BHS to avoid
transmission events. This becomes more and more important as milestone
events are approaching, including the graduation of the Class of 2022.*

If your student tests positive, please keep your student out of school and
do the following:

   1. Click here <https://my.primary.health/appointment_recoveries> to
upload your student’s test results to Primary Health.
   2. *Email **covidcase at berkeley.net* <covidcase at berkeley.net> and include
the following information in your email:
      1. Student’s full name
      2. Date of positive test
      3. Date symptoms began, if your student had symptoms
      4. Last date on campus
      5. After school programs or sports teams your student attends

BUSD’s COVID Case Response Team will provide an isolation letter with
information about how and when your student can return to school. Please
note that testing is also available after school at BHS on Tuesday-Thursday
from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Testing is also available at the Curtis Street
entrance to Berkeley Adult School on Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:30
pm.

Masking is still an important risk mitigation strategy and is strongly
recommended by the California Department of Public Health.
