Dear BUSD Community,
We are reaching out to the community to ask for support for HOPE students. (
Homeless Outreach Program for Education).

Prom season is nearing and we have many HOPE students who would love to
attend prom, but because of their circumstances, feel that prom is out of
reach for them.
Your tax-deductible cash donation will assist in making a memorable, fun
experience for our students. Prom tickets are $70 dollars. We would also
love to provide students with gift cards to purchase dresses, rides,
photos, and other expenses. Can you make a donation of $100 or more to give
a HOPE student a prom night with their classmates?
About the HOPE Fund: Throughout the year, the HOPE fund at the Berkeley
Public Schools Fund, helps students across the district with necessities
such as food, socks, underwear and hygiene products, and any other need a
student might require. Federal funds provided to the HOPE Counselor have
strict rules on what can and cannot be purchased. Our HOPE Fund fills in
the gaps in funding to help meet more needs for our HOPE students and bring
more stability into their lives.
