I am writing to notify you of a cluster of COVID-19 cases at Berkeley High
School. These cases have already been reported to you individually (they
are not new cases). A COVID-19 cluster at BUSD is where three or more
people who are not members of the same household test positive for COVID-19
over a two week period and were present at the same school during their
infectious period.  When this occurs, BUSD notifies Berkeley Public Health
and our school community, per our safety plan

These are not new cases; a community notification was already sent out for
these cases.

This does not mean your student was a close contact with any of these
individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.  If BUSD COVID Liaisons
determined your student was a close contact,  you would have received a
message with additional information about testing and quarantining.

Thank you for your efforts to help your student follow COVID-19 safety
measures at Berkeley High.

la Escuela Berkeley High.  Estos casos ya le han sido comunicados a usted
individualmente (no son casos nuevos). Un conjunto de COVID-19 en BUSD es
cuando tres o más personas que no son miembros del mismo hogar dan positivo
en las pruebas de COVID-19 durante un período de dos semanas y estuvieron
presentes en la misma escuela durante su período infeccioso.  Cuando esto
sucede, BUSD notifica al Departamento de Salud Pública de Berkeley y a
nuestra comunidad escolar, por medio de nuestro plan de seguridad

Estos no son casos nuevos; para estos casos ya se ha enviado una
notificación comunitaria.

Esto no significa que su estudiante haya estado en contacto cercano con
alguna de estas personas que dieron positivo en la prueba de COVID-19.  Si
las personas encargadas de los asuntos (Liaisons) de COVID de BUSD
determinaron que su estudiante era un contacto cercano, usted habría
recibido un mensaje con información adicional acerca de las pruebas y la
cuarentena.

Gracias por sus esfuerzos para ayudar a su estudiante a seguir las medidas
de seguridad de COVID-19 en Berkeley High School.
