Hello BHS Students and Families, 

We want to share with you dates, times, and helpful information ahead of our 1st semester finals exams week. 

Here is the schedule for the week of 12/13 - 12/17:

Students are allowed to leave campus at 12:40pm on final exam days and must do so unless they are actively participating in class or extracurricular activities where they can then return after lunch time.

“Finals Prep / Make Up” is optional time for students to meet with teachers if they have questions about final exams or if they need to make up a final for an approved reason. This is also a time for students who need extended time as per their IEP or 504 Plan. Students should pre-arrange with their teacher when they will be present. Teachers will not be available to students during “Teacher Common Prep.” 

Final Exams Week Reminders

Please remember:  
Finals exams may come in a variety of formats and students are encouraged to ask their teachers ahead of time what to expect. 
All students are required to be occupied for the entire 2 hours of the finals period.
Students will not be dismissed from the finals period early, and no one should be out of class without a pass.  
Classroom noise levels should be low during finals periods. Admin and Safety Staff will be on hand to ensure quiet hallways as well.
Students will not be able to request early finals exams from their teachers as teachers are expected to give final exams during the finals period. 

Finally, please be aware that teachers, like students, are on break from December 20th to 31st and so students should not expect their teachers to be available via email during the break. Students should be prepared to wait for semester grades to be finalized and posted on Infinite Campus at the end of the week of January 3rd. 

We encourage everyone to rest and recover during the Winter break.

Los estudiantes pueden salir del campus a las 12:40 p.m. En los días de exámenes finales y deben hacerlo a menos que estén participando activamente en la clase o en actividades extracurriculares donde pueden regresar después de la hora del almuerzo.

“Preparación / Recuperación de las Finales” es un tiempo opcional para que los estudiantes se reúnan con los maestros si tienen preguntas sobre los exámenes finales o si necesitan hacer una final por una razón aprobada. Este también es un momento para los estudiantes que necesitan más tiempo según su IEP o Plan 504. Los estudiantes deben acordar previamente con su maestro cuándo estarán presentes. Los maestros no estarán disponibles para los estudiantes durante la "Preparación común para maestros". 

Recordatorios de la semana de exámenes finales

Atención - Recuerde:  
Los exámenes finales pueden venir en una variedad de formatos y se alienta a los estudiantes a que pregunten a sus maestros con anticipación qué esperar. 
Se requiere que todos los estudiantes estén ocupados durante las 2 horas completas del período final.
Los estudiantes no saldrán temprano del período de finales y nadie debe estar fuera de clase sin un pase.  
Los niveles de ruido en el aula deben ser bajos durante los períodos finales. El personal administrativo y de seguridad también estará disponible para garantizar que los pasillos también estén tranquilos.
Los estudiantes no podrán solicitar exámenes finales anticipados a sus maestros, ya que se espera que los maestros den exámenes finales durante el período final. 

Finalmente, tenga en cuenta que los maestros, al igual que los estudiantes, están de vacaciones del 20 al 31 de diciembre, por lo que los estudiantes no deben esperar que sus maestros estén disponibles por correo electrónico durante las vacaciones. Los estudiantes deben estar preparados para esperar a que se finalicen las calificaciones del semestre y se publiquen en Infinite Campus al final de la semana del 3 de enero.
