Hello BHS Students and Families,

We've been preparing for lunch-time on rainy days and it looks like rain is
in the forecast tomorrow through Monday.

BUSD guidance for rainy days has some overlap with poor air quality days.
Please find more information HERE
<https://www.berkeleyschools.net/air-quality-response-2021-2022-school-year/>
.

Most importantly, please note that:

*"When necessary, students may have lunch, recess, and PE indoors, as they
would during a rainy day. COVID-19 safety protocols will continue to be
followed in these instances, with students masked except when eating, and
with students maximizing social distancing to the extent possible when
masks are removed when eating and drinking."*

For rainy days, we will move chairs out of the Cafeteria bowl onto the
floor but spread them out more than usual. Students will pick up their
lunch and can sit in the cafeteria if they want to, and remove their mask
while eating. Additionally, we will have an administrator present in the
Cafeteria during lunch time on rainy days to monitor students.

We strongly encourage students to eat with their same social group each
day, create distance to the extent possible, and remove masks only when
eating and drinking.

Thank you.

<https://www.berkeleyschools.net/air-quality-response-2021-2022-school-year/>
.

Gracias.
