Please see the message below we sent on Saturday regarding Covid testing.

As a reminder, in anticipation of increased supply of test kits, we are
urging families to register their student for Covid testing.
Parents/guardians can complete the ONE-TIME registration for their student
here: https://my.primary.health/l/berkeley_usd

Complete their registration on Primary Health by clicking and confirming on
the email and text sent to confirm your information after registering. We
are UNABLE to test students and register results if you have not completed
consent.

Most importantly for all of us, *WE HAVE RECEIVED ENOUGH TEST KITS FOR* *STAFF
AND REQUIRED STUDENT-ATHLETE COVID TESTING, AS WELL AS TESTING FOR
UNVACCINATED STUDENTS IDENTIFIED FOR MODIFIED QUARANTINE,** TO BEGIN ON
MONDAY, AUGUST 30TH. UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ENOUGH TEST KITS
TO BEGIN UNIVERSAL STUDENT SURVEILLANCE TESTING FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 7-12
JUST YET. *

Here is more information from Dr. Stephen's message:

*Surveillance Testing Begins August 30*

*Last Friday, I shared that BUSD has been impacted by statewide shortages
of COVID-19 test kits. Thanks to our partners in the City of Berkeley, we
have now taken receipt of a first shipment of rapid antigen tests, and our
order of kits from the state has been partially fulfilled. We have enough
test kits to start universal testing on Monday, but until it is clear that
state supplies are dependable, we will have to target the use of these kits
to emphasize unvaccinated student populations and high school athletes.
Here is our current status: *

*Starting Monday, August 30*

   - *Universal student surveillance testing at all elementary schools, and
   Grade 6*
   - *Testing for all unvaccinated students identified for modified
   quarantine, TK-12*
   - *Mandatory twice-per-week testing for BHS athletes*
   - *Staff at school sites*

*Pending Additional Test Kits (Date to be Determined)*

   - *Surveillance testing of students in Grades 7 – 12*
   - *Mandatory unvaccinated staff testing*
   - *Staff at non-school work locations*

Administrators will work with quarantined students to schedule testing and
athletic directors and coaches will email student-athletes with the testing
schedule.

We will update you all as soon as we have confirmation that we can begin
universal surveillance testing for all students in grades 7-12.

ciudad de Berkeley, hemos recibido un primer envío de pruebas rápidas de
antígenos y nuestro pedido de kits del estado se ha cumplido parcialmente.
Tenemos suficientes kits de prueba para comenzar las pruebas universales el
lunes, pero hasta que esté claro que los suministros estatales son
confiables, tendremos que enfocar el uso de estos kits para enfatizar las
poblaciones de estudiantes no vacunados y atletas de secundaria. Aquí está
