*Wristbands**: *All graduating students from BHS, BIS and BTA receive four
(4) wristbands for each graduation ceremony they will participate in. These
wristbands should be for members of the same household that will sit
together. Seating is first come, first served in clearly marked seating
pods of four (4) that will be spaced out in bleachers of Jacket Stadium.
*Every person attending, regardless of age, must have a wristband for
entrance.*
*Drive-Up Wristband Distribution Schedule 1:30 - 4:00 PM*
Please stop by our drive-up distribution site at the Athletic Gate along Milvia
& Durant near the BHS softball field to pick up your graduation wristbands
according to the day of your ceremony. Students should show a photo ID
and/or be prepared to verify themselves with student ID. There will be no
wristband pick up on the day of the ceremony.
Graduates, please stop by on your assigned day:
Tuesday, May 25 1:30-4:00 PM - *AHA, CAS, API, AFAM*
Wednesday, May 26 1:30-4:00 PM - *AC, LATINX, AMPS*
Thursday, May 27 1:30-4:00 PM - *BIHS, RISE, BIS, BTA, MLP, BRIDGE*
Friday, May 28 1:30-4:00 PM - *Make up day for all ceremony days*
*Lawn Signs* If you weren’t able to pick up a lawn sign, they will be
available during the wristband distribution. Thank you to the BHS
Development Group for support of this spirited giveaway!
*Additional Guests* Due to limited seating capacity and strict seating pods
of 4 guests, we will only be able to distribute any unclaimed wristbands.
If we do have available wristbands, please sign up on this waiting list to
claim an additional 1-2 wristbands per graduate per ceremony
<https://forms.gle/gcJqQhPaDZ64Rw1ZA>. Additional wristbands will be
distributed on June 1 or June 2 at BHS. There will be no wristband pick up
on the day of the ceremony.
*Access for Persons with disabilities* Jacket Stadium is wheelchair
accessible and seating is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA). There is no need to request a special ticket. We have plans to
set aside one of the two BHS parking lots for guests with ADA needs.
*Health & Safety* Masks will be required by guests and graduates. In
addition, all guests and graduates will be required to complete a
Graduation Health Screener (similar to the daily health screener) on each
ceremony day. The link to the survey will be made available on the ceremony
day. Immediately following each ceremony, all guests must exit the
bleachers, Jacket Stadium, and campus through the Martin Luther King Jr.
Gate to allow sufficient transition between ceremonies. We will sanitize
seating and other spaces while we prepare to check-in participants for the
next ceremony.
*Seating* All seats are first come, first served. Guests will be required
to remain in the same pod of seats for the duration of each ceremony. There
are no reserved seats, but the first three rows of the bleachers should be
saved for ADA seating. The gate to the Jacket Stadium will open up 45-60
minutes prior to each ceremony.
*Prohibited Items* Guests and graduates are not allowed to distribute any
items including, but not limited to balloons, flowers, sashes, leis, etc.
at Jacket Stadium on the day of the ceremony.
*Graduation Day* Seniors should plan to report to the Jacket Stadium 45-60
minutes prior to the ceremony start time. There may be traffic congestion
just before graduation, so it is recommended that students allow themselves
an extra margin of time. Caps and gowns are encouraged to be worn at
graduation, but check in with your ceremony group about their specific
guidelines
*Parking* There is limited street parking near the Jacket Stadium along
with two public parking garages within walking distance. B.U.S.D. will
provide validated parking at a nearby garage during graduation weekend. You
will be required to have the graduation validated ticket to exit the garage
without full payment. More details will be provided about parking as we
approach graduation weekend.
*Photos* A professional photographer will be on-site at graduation near the
stage to take several photos of each graduate which will be made available
to the Class of 2021 within a short time after all ceremonies are
completed. There should not be a need to move up in the bleachers during
the ceremony to take photos.
*Small Learning Community Graduations & Cultural Celebrations** June 4, 5,
& 6*
Please seek information from your student or leaders of your student’s
program, small school, or cultural affinity group for specific details on
their ceremony. Participation in a small school or departmental ceremony is
not a guarantee that the student has met all requirements necessary for
graduation.
