[BHS Etree] ADMIN: BHS Student Covid Testing Reminder

Hello BHS Families,

Please do not reply to this email. If you have questions regarding testing or
the sign-up process contact BUSD Project Manager Winn Burda at
winnburda at berkeley.net.

We want to remind you about optional student Covid testing happening at
BHS. Please see all the details, including dates/times and instructions for
how to sign up, below.

Additionally, *if you are unable to print any of the documents listed
below, we will have hard copies available at the "M Gate" (Milvia and
Bancroft intersection) each day when students come on campus for in-person
stable groups starting next Monday. Students can simply ask an adult
supervising the gate for a packet and take it home. The packet will have
all the forms you need. *

Hello BHS Students and Families,

Please do not reply to this email. If you have questions regarding testing
or the sign-up process contact BUSD Project Manager Winn Burda at

Beginning the week of April 19th, BUSD will begin offering free Covid-19
testing at all BUSD middle school and high school campuses every other week
for any students that would like to participate. *We are encouraging all
families to take part to help keep our students, staff, and families as
safe as possible.*

BUSD has partnered with PMH Laboratory Inc. to perform the testing. The
District will have nurses on hand, in addition to the nurses provided by
the testing agency, to collect samples with the mouth swab test.

 *Important Student Testing Information*

   - *Student testing is optional.* Only complete the forms (outlined in
   the link below) if you are interested in having your student *tested
   every two weeks*.
   - Please make sure all information is completed for each form in order
   to receive your results and process the test accurately.
   - Please send forms with your student on their testing day.
   - Results can be expected 48 to 72 hours post-test date and will be sent
   to the email provided by the student's parent/guardian.
   - If your student has a positive test, BUSD district nurses will reach
   out with next steps for your student immediately.

   - *One time* registration link online with PMH and directions on how to
   fill out this link
   - Explanation of each form that is needed
   - PDF attachments of each form to print at home and send with your
   student (If you are unable to print at home, extra forms will be available
   at the testing site, but parents/guardians must be present to complete)

*Berkeley High School Testing Dates/Times*

All testing occurs from 12:00 to 1:45pm at the Athletic Plaza (Enter at
Milvia Street and Durant Ave)

Week of April 19th: Monday, April 19th and Thursday, April 22nd

Beginning May 3rd: Every other Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday through
June 4th:

Week of May 3rd: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Week of May 17th: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (Monday is a school holiday)
Week of May 31st: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Monday is a school holiday)

If your student participates in testing, they should complete a test every
two weeks.
