We are excited to announce that we will be offering a small School Day SAT
exam on Tuesday April 27th. We have secured enough proctors to offer slots
to 80 BHS students to take the exam. This School Day SAT allows us to
address our recent challenges securing enough proctors and that weekend
exams cannot be limited only to BHS students.
Below is the key information about the SAT:
WHO? Interested 11th and 12th graders. Due to limited capacity, this
opportunity is not available to 9th or 10th grade students.
WHEN? Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at 8AM.
COST? Fee is $52, payable online by credit card.
-
Students participating in the free and reduced lunch program pay $8, once
their eligibility has been verified; please email a copy of the
confirmation letter or email to benettewilliams at berkeley.net at the time
of registration.
-
To register for the free and reduced lunch program, go to:
https://secure.ezmealapp.com/ApplicationScreen.aspx).
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
-
The registration link <https://regismart.net/>will go live on Monday 3/29.
We only have 80 slots and this will be first come, first served. We are
only able to put a date and not a time for the link to go live, so our
understanding is that it will open at 12AM on 3/29.
-
Create or log in to an account at RegiSmart
<https://regismart.net/#/login>(https://regismart.net/). Follow the
steps to register for the School Day SAT at Berkeley High School.
-
Students will be registering online so please have your credit/debit
card ready. Registration will only take a few minutes and can be
completed from any computer with internet access.
-
Remember, RegiSmart <https://regismart.net/#/login> goes live on Monday
3/29.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON THE DAY OF THE EXAM?
-
Per guidelines from the College Board
<https://pages.collegeboard.org/sat-covid-19-updates>: All students and
staff must wear a mask at all times during the test, verify that they are
in good health on the day of the exam, and observe social distancing.
-
There will be no more than 15 students per group with 1 proctor.
-
Before entering the test rooms, students will need to respond
affirmatively to the SAT Test Center COVID-19 Safety Screening here
<https://pages.collegeboard.org/sat-covid-19-updates> (scroll down to
statements).
Do I NEED THE SAT OR ACT FOR MY COLLEGE APPLICATIONS? Most colleges and
universities have decided to make the SAT and ACT optional for students
applying to attend school in '22-'23. Please check here
<https://www.fairtest.org/university/optional/state> for regular updates on
colleges that are test-optional; if a college is not on the list, students
should search online to see the most current admissions information.
If you have questions, please email benettewilliams at berkeley.net or
carrieberg at berkeley.net.

*If you haven't heard back from me within 3 school days of sending an
email, please reach out again; it is possible I missed your email due to
high volume.*
