Hello Class of 2021,

We are still narrowing down our available options for a spirited, healthy
and spaced graduation event. We are not planning for a large in-person
ceremony, but we do hope to make an announcement about the potential of
other formats by spring break. As you can imagine, it takes months to
organize such a large event for 800+ grads with planning made more arduous
in order to address the public health guidelines from Alameda County and
the City of Berkeley. We believe that our 2021 graduates deserve to be
celebrated. Therefore, we encourage you to still observe the joy of this
academic achievement by taking cap and gown photos as well as participating
in the virtual ceremony among other activities.

We will host a procession of graduates during your graduation ceremony
later in the spring. You can customize your senior slide with a photo,
appreciation message, and a few other categories. This will be just one

Be proactive if you know you have any missing or lost books.  The BHS
Library will be understanding of any difficulty with replacing lost or
missing books, so contact Nicole Fitzhugh <nicolefitzhugh at berkeley.net>,
Textbook Room Clerk. Seniors won't receive their high school diplomas until
they return all their textbooks and library books back to the textbook room
and library.
