Dear BHS Students,



Are you interested in getting ahead in college AND earning a year of high
school elective credits, through one great class!?



We are excited to announce that we still have room to accept more students
in our Berkeley City College "Life and Career Planning" class that begins
on Tuesday, January 25, 2021!



Class meets one day per week, online, on Tuesdays, 3:45pm - 5pm.



*In addition to 3 college units, transferable to UC and CSU, students also
earn 10 BHS elective credits.



The curriculum is covered in 3 primary units, and it's all about YOU:



 1.  Who am I?  Lots of self exploration in this unit, identifying
motivational factors and influences, self-definition of "success",
personality traits and working styles, etc.



2.  What do I Want?  Preferred lifestyle, financial literacy, career and
major exploration.



3.  How do I Get it? Pathways and requirements to match career options,
resume building, networking, interview preparation, etc.



In essence, the course is designed to support students with creating a "10
Year Plan" for  life after high school.  We aim to cover content that is
not traditionally explored/discussed in education, particularly high
school.
