Dear Students,



Due to local health orders, the ACT at Berkeley High School on September
12th will be cancelled. All students registered for this exam will receive
notifications from the ACT via email, including information about their
full refund. Students can log into my ACT to sign up for later test dates
or dates at other testing locations.



What will happen with other SAT and ACT exams this Fall? We will continue
to work with local health officials to determine on a case-by-case basis
whether conditions will allow us to host upcoming exams. We will keep you
informed if we need to cancel other exams in the future. At the time of
writing this email, only our August SAT and September ACT have been
cancelled.



Do I need the SAT or ACT for my college applications? Most colleges and
universities have decided to make the SAT and ACT optional for students
applying to attend school in '21-'22. Please check here

colleges that are test-optional; if a college is not on the list, students
should search online to see the most current admissions information.



What should I do if I still want to take the ACT? Students can log into my
ACT to sign up for later test dates or dates at other testing locations; we
encourage you to do so quickly, as we ACT does not allow us to limit
sign-ups to Berkeley High students. If BHS is full, we suggest you sign-up
to test at other locations. You can also look here

our students at this time.
