Hello BHS AP Test Takers,

Reminders: Please make sure that you are ready to test beginning next week.
Review the exam day checklist
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/17sFCnxLnPYuxRUhWkd-FQChGFV-tpo_M/view?usp=sharing>,
mark your calendars for your test time
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JKvpgb7bTpLoL23ca5r8gt3-DWycrvWMxytNaDJYGSY/edit?usp=sharing>,
log into your AP account 30 mins before your scheduled time.

We highly recommend that you practice with this exam day demo
<https://ap2020examdemo.collegeboard.org/?SFMC_cid=EM307020-&rid=86111353>
to decide if you are using a computer or phone with pen and paper for your
exams. You will need to login with your AP ID number in order to access the
demo. If you are not sure which is the best method, you should ask your AP
teacher for that class as the recommendations can be subject specific.

How extended time will work? (This only applies to students for whom the
College Board has granted approved accommodations) Because the exam is
shorter and the system students will use is new, all students approved for
extended time will receive online AP Exams enabled with 100% extended time.
This will automatically appear on the timer within the exam(s) for all
students approved for extended time:

   -

For one-question exams, students will receive 100 minutes to craft,
   attach/paste, and submit their response.

   -

For two-question exams, students will receive 60 minutes to craft,
attach/paste, and submit their response to the first question, and then 40
minutes to craft, attach/paste, and submit their response to the second
   question.

Please be aware of the following:

   -

Students don't need to use the full time provided to write their
responses, and they can submit their responses whenever they're ready to do
so during the exam. Spending more time than necessary on a response is
unlikely to provide any score benefits.

   -

For exams with two questions, the second question won't appear until the
60 minutes for the first question has elapsed. Students shouldn't refresh
their browser—they should simply wait until the timer runs out and the next
   question appears.

   -

The extended time includes 10 minutes to attach/paste the response and
click Submit. However, students will only receive an onscreen reminder to
submit their response when there are 5 minutes remaining. Therefore, if a
student thinks they'll need more than 5 minutes to attach/paste and submit
their response, they shouldn't wait for the onscreen reminder to start the
   submission process.

   -

Exception: If a student is approved for extended time in listening or
speaking and is taking a spoken AP world language and culture exam, they'll
receive the approved amount of extended time—50% or 100%—to prepare their
responses for each task, as follows:

   -

French, German, Italian, and Spanish Language and Culture—For 50%
extended time: For Task 1 students have 3 minutes total to prepare for the
conversation, and for Task 2 they have 13 minutes total to prepare for the
presentation. For 100% extended time: For Task 1 students have 5 minutes
total to prepare for the conversation, and for Task 2 they have 22 minutes
total to prepare for the presentation.

   -

Chinese and Japanese Language and Culture—For 50% extended time: For
Task 1 students have 3 minutes total to prepare for the conversation, and
for Task 2 they have 10 minutes total to prepare for the presentation. For
100% extended time: For Task 1 students have 4 minutes total to prepare for
the conversation, and for Task 2 they have 16 minutes total to prepare for
   the presentation.

Note: Any students approved this week for an accommodation that requires
extended time will receive an email from Services for Students with
Disabilities (SSD) informing them that they need to test during the June
makeup testing window and that they shouldn't use their May e-ticket.
