Please do not respond to this email. Instead please contact PTSA President mimipulich at yahoo.com <mailto:mimipulich at yahoo.com> or the volunteer coordinators listed in this email.

Berkeley High Parents,

The Berkeley Schools Fund has been and continues to work to help meet the most critical needs of the District and its most vulnerable families at this time. Please consider donating to the Berkeley Schools Fund.

Every donation you make between now and Sunday, April 5 at midnight is being matched by Mary and Stan Friedman, Schools Fund founders, and grandparents of students at Sylvia Mendez, Longfellow, and Berkeley High. It's a $100,000 matching gift challenge with $60,000 to go!

Donate Here <https://www.berkeleypublicschoolsfund.org/donate-2-2/online-donation/> or with this link https://www.berkeleypublicschoolsfund.org/donate-2-2/online-donation/ <https://www.berkeleypublicschoolsfund.org/donate-2-2/online-donation/>

Valerie Kratzer, the Berkeley Schools Fund Development Coordinator, has provided the following information about what the is being done now and the volunteer skills needed to help their efforts go further.

Your donation <https://www.berkeleypublicschoolsfund.org/donate-2-2/online-donation/> will be doubled to support emergency assistance for families, books, Chromebooks and the management of 500 volunteers who are getting ready to do everything from tech support for students to preparing art, gardening and maker kits for distribution at school/meal sites. Make a donation today and we'll meet our goal by Sunday!

From Mary and Stan Freidman: "These times require extra commitment from all of us to give what we can to support the families and children in this community who are most impacted by this crisis."

GOT SKILLS? GOT TIME?

Berkeley Schools Volunteers, now over 500 people strong, has the capacity to support our district in a variety of critical ways, both as our schools' journey toward reinvention and in the event that key personnel get sick. To that end, BSV is continually inventorying the skills of our volunteer network. This allows us to use your background to contact you about potential roles and projects.

Let us know if you have skills in the following areas:

· Public relations/communications/writing?
· Spanish language translation?
· Accounting?
· Website development & updating?
· Project management?

· Remote learning (ie Tech & Teaching)?
· Carpentry/building?
· Art, artsy & craft/art supplies?

If you have skills to share, please share in email more about your experience in that particular skill area and include the amount of time you’d be comfortable giving (i.e. hours/week) with both Berkeley Schools Volunteers Director Duffy Ross (duffyross at berkeley.net <mailto:duffyross at berkeley.net>) and BSV Teams Manager Tami Stewart (tamistew at sonic.net <mailto:tamistew at sonic.net>).
