Hello Fellow Yellow Jackets,

In light of recent recommendations by the Alameda County Public Health Department, we have postponed prom until Sunday, May 17. With this delay, we want to be proactive to mitigate the potential for spreading a virus from person to person. We hope that you understand that this decision is for our collective good. This date change may mean that other plans you have will now be in conflict with the new prom date, but we hope that you will be able to accommodate and still attend the 2020 prom. If you have reservations for the original April 11th prom date, I highly encourage you to call the business to ask for a refund or credit using your most friendly telephone voice. Businesses must understand that these public health measures are also in their best interest.

Prom is most definitely a fun night out, a great gathering for you and your fellow Yellow Jackets to celebrate the year. We have an amazing array of treats and activities lined up for the night including sweet or savory crepes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, as well as casino games, karaoke, and two different photo booths. There will also be professional photos taken by LifeTouch for a cost. And all of this while dancing in the beautifully lit and decorated Bently Reserve located in downtown San Francisco.

We will work with the prom coordinator to take precautions at the venue to ensure a sanitary and healthy environment. We do also encourage anyone who is feeling ill or in direct contact with someone who has been feeling sick to stay home. Please read the link below for more information.

Thank you for your understanding and be well,

John Villavicencio
