Seal of Biliteracy Do you speak two languages fluently? Are you a senior? If so, you may qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy. This year the application is online- check your email for the link and eligibility requirements. Please submit other paperwork to Ms Henrickson in M209 or Ms Fullerton in M208. Applications are due by April 10, 2020. 
 
Berkeley High Jazz Band Spring Concerts are happening this week!
Thursday February 27 the fabulous 10:00 and 4:00 bands will take the stage
Friday February 28 the stellar 11:00 and 3:00 bands will be performing.
All Concerts start at 7:00 p.m. in the Florence Schwimley Little Theatre at Berkeley High (enter on Allston Way near MLK).  
Tickets are $10 for adults, free for 18 and under and BUSD staff.

Energy Conservation Competition 
Help BHS compete with six other schools to win a monetary prize in this month's Energy Conservation Competition, led by Green Team! Turn off any unused lights, especially when leaving classrooms. Use as much natural light as possible. Unplug devices, which draw electricity even when not being used. BHS can do more to be sustainable, and save money at the same time!

Youth Leadership Corps
Are you hoping to improve your leadership skills? Would you enjoy challenging yourself, in the Sierras, with a supportive team at your back? Are you a freshman, sophomore, or junior? If so, you should strongly consider applying to Outward Bound's Youth Leadership Corps: a FREE year-long leadership and service program that consists of a 12-day backpacking trip in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains followed by monthly service projects, organized by you and your friends. You will need to complete a form, write an essay, obtain a letter of recommendation, and attend an in-person interview to be considered, and the deadline is March 29, so get on it! Junior class leadership is organizing an SAT/ACT book drive to make FREE test prep resources more accessible. If you have extra or used test prep books, you can donate them to our book drive!
