*The Jacket Newspaper* is currently accepting submissions for its Black
History Month issue.  All writers, poets, illustrators, photographers,
designers, and artists should submit to the Jacket by February 21 at
claramizock at students.berkeley.net

Have you taken the *SAT/ACT* already?  Are you planning on taking the test
this year?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, this message
is for you!  *Junior class leadership is organizing an SAT/ACT book drive*
to make FREE test prep resources more accessible.  If you have extra or
used test prep books, you can donate them to our book drive!

*Books can be dropped off in the leadership office (D148).*



Welcome!  All students and staff who wish to taste *French cuisine and
cheeses at lunch* this Wednesday in Madame Chenault's classroom, C-102!

There are board games and puzzles and a film!  We are also planning our
trip to France next year as well as a day trip to San Francisco in April.

*Period 3: Juniors and Seniors:* *Black College Expo Preview Assembly in
Little Theater: * Meet representatives from the Black College Expo to hear
about life at a HBCU and the Black College Expo in Oakland on Saturday,
Feb. 8th from 9:00am-3:00 pm.


*Thursday, February 6-Friday, February 7:*

*Closed all periods for panels with sophomores*

Open before classes, during lunch, and after school on for homework,
tutoring, or clearing absences 3:30-6:00pm with Mr. Laurel. (except
Fridays).
