*Parent Workshop-Tuesday October 1st--7-8:30pm*

On *Tuesday October 1st at 7:00pm in the BHS Library*, Join BHS parent,
Lisa Miller, for a family workshop addressing common challenges 9th grade
students face. This workshop is designed for parents/guardians AND students
and will explore executive function and how it impacts learning.

Parents/guardians and their students will start a conversation and set
intentions about:

· Organization

· Setting up a productive study environment

· Time management strategies

· Homework management strategies

Lisa will share strategies to implement at home. Start the school year off
right with study habits that support student achievement!

*Lisa Miller has a background in secondary education and used to teach at
Berkeley High School. Currently, she works in the private education sector,
designing curriculum and professional development on executive function.
With over 20 years of experience in education, Lisa is passionate about
helping students find their inner academic superhero. She has two teenagers
of her own, and when she’s not wrangling them, she likes to ride her bike
and learn about neuroscience.*

Two other evening workshops are planned for Wednesday November 6th: Test
Prep and Wednesday January 15th: Finals Prep. Save the dates!!
